Tuesday, Feb. 1st,     THIRSTY TUESDAY (First Tues. of every month) 5pm at pool 2250.  Bring your own beverage and a snack to share.  There will be a 50-50 to help defray costs.  Please join us and meet your neighbors.

Thursday, Feb 3rd    BOOK CLUB (first Thurs. of each month 10:30 am.  The club will be reviewing “East of Eden” by John Steinbek.  Please call Ida McLean at 694-7747 if you plan to attend.  Note that the March Book Club meeting will be held on Thurs. March 3rd to review “Big Stone Gap” by Adriana Trigani.

Monday Feb 7th    BINGO  with Jo Baltzer (every Mon night) 7pm at pool 2250.

Thursday, Feb 17th:   ARTS & CRAFTS  (third Thurs of each month)  10:am at pool 2250 with Joyce and Joann.  Cost will be minimal.  For information call Joyce at 694-7804 or Joann 630-7173.

The Activities Committee met at Frenchman's Marina for breakfast 4/24 marking the end of the current season and planning for next Fall's activities. In addition to all the great things that happened this season, there will be many pleasant surprises. More details in the Fall.

Marina at the Bluffs Annual Meeting
Activities Committee Report 3/30/04

To date the Activities Committee has arranged the following events:

    Two Gambling Cruises
    Museum Tour & Lunch
    Sawgrass Mills Bus Trip
    Two Plays
    Fashion Show
    Visit to a Teahouse with Molly’s Trolley

On a monthly basis we offer book club, arts & crafts and camera club.
Also, the first Tuesday of each month we had our Thirsty Tuesday rotating
among all four pools.

This coming Thursday, 4/01, we will have our “End of Season” party for
the entire community at pool 2250, 5 pm; bring a beverage and snack to
share. Notices are on all bulletin boards.

Our latest activity is “Bingo” organized and run by Josephine Baltzer.
It has been a tremendous success. Come and enjoy the fun on Monday nites
at 7pm, at pooL#225O

As usual, Fran Tesorero hit another home run when he arranged tickets
for 66 of us to see the Florida Marlins play the Boston Red Sox. We are
grateful also to Karen Tesorero for keeping us in shape by taking over the water
aerobics.

My sincere thanks to our Activities Committee, namely, Fran Steed, Rita
Hazen, IdaMcLean, Joyce Reisman, Joann Barrella and Josephine Baltzer for their
hard work and dedication to our community. Last and certainly not least, our thanks
to Helen & Tom Collins for placing our events on their Bluffs Condos website.

Whoever said it cannot be done without a clubhouse? What a tremendous
team.

Molly's Trolley picked up a group of tea drinkers at the Marina at the Bluffs Wednesday and transported them to the Serenity Tea House in West Palm Beach. Mary, the tea house owner, hosted the traditional afternoon tea while games were played and an artist sketched some of us. Then it was back on the trolley and home to the Marina. Many thanks to Myra Hoffstein who put it all together again.

ACTIVITIES COMMITTEE REPORT - FEBRUARY 26th, 2004

The Activities Committee is on a roll!

On February 3rd we had Thirsty Tuesday at pool 2250 with over 100 in attendance. Then February 5th , 13 people at our Book Club reviewed “Five People You Meet in Heaven”. On February 13th our Camera Club took photographs at the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary’.

On February 24th we attended the Harbour Clothing Boutique luncheon and fashion show at Jonathan’s Landing Marina Club. We had 40 in attendance and every person was a winner thanks to the generosity of Joann Barrella.

This morning, February 26th, we had our monthly Arts & Crafts session. Thanks to Elliot Sklar and Bill Madden for their help with the table and chairs.

Our next Thirsty Tuesday will be this coming Tuesday, March 2nd, at pool 650. Bring your own drink and a snack to share.

Coming upon Wednesday, March 10th, Molly’s Trolley will take us to Serenity Garden Teahouse in W. Palm Beach for lunch, games and fun.

Fran, Rita, Joyce, Joann, Ida, Josephine and myself are having a ball! We hope you are too!

Thanks to the Herculean efforts of Activities Chair Myra Hoffstein, a
luncheon and fashion show was held February 24, at the Marina of Jonathan’s Landing.
The fashion models, clothes and accessories were provided by Harbor Clothing Boutique
which is located in the Driftwood Plaza Shopping Center in Jupiter on Hwy. 1.
We thank them all for a great show. Many thanks to the Marina dining staff and the Chef for a fine luncheon.

Twelve of the Thirteen people you would have met in the heavenly book club.

Thirteen people showed up to discuss The Five People You Meet in Heaven. The talk ranged from who we would meet in heaven, who we don't want to meet in heaven, to is there a heaven? General conclusions about the book---Schmaltz to Lessons to be learned.

Our next book session will be Thursday March 11, 2004 at 10:30 am. at 601/301

Activities Committee Report

Thursday, January 29 Board of Directors Meeting:

The Activities Committee started 2004 with a bang! We had Thirsty
Tuesday at pool 1550, then the Book Club followed by a play “Tea at Five” in West
Palm Beach. We also had an Arts & Crafts session.

Our next Thirsty Tuesday will be held at pool 2250 on February 3rd at
5PM this coming Tuesday. Bring a drink for yourself and a small snack to
share.

Next Book Club meeting is on Feb.5’th. They will be reviewing "The Five
People You Meet in Heaven". After that, the Camera Club will meet on
Feb.13th to photograph at the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary. The remaining
programs for this month are Fashion Show & Lunch on Feb. 24 and Arts &
Crafts on Feb. 26th This session is planned to be a “surprise”. All
events are posted on your building bulletin board.

The Activities Committee is in desperate need of storage cabinets for
the community room at pool 2250. Perhaps a unit owner renovating their
kitchen could donate their used cabinets to the committee.

My sincere thanks to Fran Steed, Rita Hazen, Ida McLean, Joyce Reisman,
Joann Barrella and Josephine Baltzer for their wonderful service to our
community. They are a joy to work with! Thanks also go to Fran Tesorero
for handling the baseball tickets. Fabulous job! Thanks to Karen Tesorero
for taking over the Water Aerobics and to Helen & Tom Collins for placing
our events on their Bluffs Condos website. Last and certainly not least,
the Committee appreciates our card players for their tremendous cooperation.

What a team! Thank you all!
